Bar Gamba Dos

Just a simple and cheap breakfast plate from a small spot called Bar Gamba Dos on the edge of the Gràcia neighborhood in Barcelona. Eggs, bacon, and golden fried potatoes with an orange juice to drink. Nothing fancy just delicious food in a tiny spot near our hotel.

La Barca del Salamanca

@atxcocktails used to live in Barcelona so he was showing me around including a visit to La Barca del Salamanca, a place he's been to, and taken people to, countless times. I ordered the seafood fideua (fideo for my Texan's) which came with a healthy amount of fresh Galician shrimp. It was also quite nice to get a little more seafood added to our heavy meat diet on the first part of the trip but, I'll admit, the walk to this place was much farther than I thought it would be. Thanks for showing me around, Carlos!

Restaurante Morelia

A lot of our lighter meals looks like this, with a few simple tapas. Tomato bread (pan con tomate), patatas bravas, blistered padrón peppers, an empanada, and some wine from @moreliabcn. Simple, delicious, and affordable can't be beat plus this was in a cute plaza where we sat outside and ate and enjoyed the cool night.

Cadaques Restaurant

Like I said, @atxcocktails and I ate and drank all over the place, but mostly small tapas or pinchos like these from Cadaques restaurant located in Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia in the Gràcia area of Barcelona. We ordered some bombas which are a spicy fried ball of potato and minced meat that are popular in this neighborhood, some patatas bravas, and some steamed mussels work a couple of drinks. Such a great way to start the day, dining on fantastic Spanish food outside in a random plaza.

Marcelino 1968

One night @atxcocktails and I met up with his cousin in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona for some dinner and drinks. We ended up hitting @marcelino___1968 for dinner and we ordered up a big piece of roasted pork, some octopus, and some more patatas bravas, because I'm obsessed with them! 😅 This spot is on a couple lists of best tapas in Barcelona and, with the quality of the food we received, I can understand why! Definitely recommended!

Cerveceria Catalana

Where did I get the tiniest burger in existence? – Barcelona! While walking towards the train station to head back to Madrid we popped in to Cervesería Catalana for a small bite to eat. We ordered up some Galician style polpo, some more bravas (definitely obsessed), and that miniscule burger. Seriously though, this burger was so tiny it made a White Castle burger look like a triple meat Whataburger. Swipe through to see the little guy!

Dr. Stavinsky

What do you think I ordered at one of the World's 50 Best Bars? – Since @atxcocktails shared his drink from @dr.stravinsky_bcn I should show you mine. It kind of looks like your typical old fashioned but you'd be wrong in thinking they have anything typical at Dr. Stravinsky's. This is their 'Altitudes' cocktail made with @auchentoshan American oak whisky, @rumbarjamaica gold, porcini mushroom vermouth, and juniper ratafia. They create 60% of all ingredients in-house and refrain from using any commercial mixers, like Coca-Cola, in their drinks. If you're a fan of delicious and complex cocktails then this should be high on your must visit list for Barcelona, plus, it's one of the 50 Best Bars in the World!
